10%+ of Sales from TikTok

How Brut Farms launched on TikTok and expanded across five marketplaces.

Marketplace Expansion
Overview
Brut Worm Farms has partnered with Spreetail since December 2020. With a goal of building a strong ecommerce brand but limited internal expertise to execute it, Brut turned to Spreetail for the infrastructure and strategy needed to grow.

From family farm to gardens around the country, Brut Farms started to fulfill a simple mission: provide everyday gardeners with the highest quality, completely natural soil amendments. They work hard to oversee every step of the process to ensure every bag is packed with the essential microbes and nutrients your plants need to truly thrive.

The Challenge
Before partnering with Spreetail, Brut Worm Farms had a clear ambition, but lacked the roadmap to get there.
No Clear Growth Path
Brut knew they wanted to build a strong ecommerce presence but didn't have the internal expertise to make it happen.
Limited Delivery Infrastructure
Without a national warehouse network, Brut couldn't access key advantages like the Amazon Prime badge.
Over-reliance on a Single Channel
Amazon represented 100% of Brut's eCommerce business, leaving little room for diversification or risk mitigation.
Our Strategy
Spreetail's warehouse network and delivery infrastructure were the initial draw for Brut — enabling Prime eligibility and setting the foundation for a broader growth strategy.
  • Multi-Channel Expansion: Brought Brut onto HomeDepot.com and Lowes.com, managing the distinct pricing and operational mechanics of each channel to keep listings consistent and compliant.
  • Cross-Channel Price Management: Took full ownership of pricing consistency across channels, protecting Brut from the pitfalls of mismatched pricing.
  • New Platform Entry — TikTok: Introduced Brut to TikTok as a sales channel, identifying organic product interest and turning it into a meaningful revenue stream.
  • End-to-End Expertise: Delivered a full-spectrum strategy — from listing optimization to advertising to new channel development — eliminating the need for Brut to manage multiple vendors.
The Bigger Impact

Since partnering with Spreetail, Brut Worm Farms has transformed from an Amazon-only seller into a genuinely multi-channel brand. TikTok alone now drives more than 10% of sales, and Amazon's share of the business has dropped from 100% to roughly 70% — a shift that reflects real diversification rather than lost ground. The brand is coming off a record year, with weekly sales up 44% year-over-year.

Looking ahead, Brut sees Spreetail as a partner built to evolve alongside a changing marketplace, including the growing role of AI in ecommerce, and remains confident in Spreetail's ability to scale alongside their continued growth.

"My experience with Spreetail has been they are the only ones whose expertise covers the entire spectrum, and I don't see a reason to try to piece things out across multiple vendors."
